Poem: "Doing Nothing"

DOING NOTHING

Doing nothing is a sweet task.
You can do it anywhere,
as long as amazement is present.
You can sit and stare
at a river dressed in its mist.
You can see what sunshine looks like
on fifty different fluttering leaves.
You can call out the quietest words,
and love the sounds
of their syllables.
It’s easy to do nothing,
because nothing is required.

  1. It fills the mind with wonder at the virtue of "doing nothing".
